Dear Alliance Tennenbaum “10Tech” Scholars, Family, and Team

The last few years have presented us with some unique challenges, but in the true spirit of “10Tech”, together we have demonstrated our collective resilience, a strong sense of community, and collaboration. It is in that spirit that I share my enthusiasm for serving Tennenbaum as Principal for the 2022-2023 school year.

I am inspired by the level of commitment each stakeholder brings to their role and the creativity on display by scholars in classes, the thoughtful leadership of ASB, the strength of our athletes, the tenacity of our teachers and counselors, the diligence of our operations team, and the support of our families. This community could not exist without the dedication, love, and effort that is poured into it each day by every member of this team.

I am committed to ensuring the wellness and belonging needs of scholars and staff are met through a systematized and strategic approach, leveraging our existing structures and teams while building capacity and supporting our school culture team led by our dean, counselors, and grade-level leads. We will focus on transparent communication and engage scholars, staff, and family voices. We will strengthen our instructional impact this year by expanding our course offerings and providing opportunities for teacher development through frequent and ongoing coaching and classroom support. We will increase our presence in this community by establishing meaningful partnerships with community organizations and fostering a true sense of belonging with a whole-child lens in order to advance the vision and mission of 10Tech- where we value relationships, embrace challenges, persist toward goals, and THINK BEYOND! We have designed a rich educational and extracurricular program this year featuring new and exciting club offerings, college visits and field trips, after school programing, family events and workshops, and internship opportunities. 

The need for collaboration has never been greater. I am continually in awe at the innovation and compassion on this campus and have no doubt that this is the right team, at the right time. With your support, Tennenbaum will continue to serve the Glassell Park community by honoring the traditions that have carried us through while infusing new approaches and ideas to address the current needs. I am eager to begin this work with each of you and full of gratitude to serve as the Principal of Alliance Tennenbaum.
